Operating Principle
Wire straightening machines remove bends and residual stresses from the wire by passing it over alternating sets of straightening rolls. The number and positioning of these rolls are critical to the straightening quality. Especially for fine wire, a tight roll pitch is required to avoid material deformation.

Modular Design of a Wire Straightening Line
A typical line consists of:

  • Uncoiler with tension-controlled decoiling to ensure uniform wire feeding.

  • Straightening unit, the heart of the machine, with a variable roll configuration depending on wire diameter and material.

  • Haul-off unit, which ensures consistent wire passage through the system and prevents recoil deformation.

  • Recoiler with traversing MW-class winder for clean and tension-free winding.
